Meet the Staff

Dr. Chris Gubbels D.C., C.C.W.P.

Dr. Chris Gubbels is a Chiropractic & Wellness Expert who focuses on restoring the body to health by creating balance in the spine and nervous system. He enjoys educating others on the importance of a wellness lifestyle, which includes a balanced nervous system, proper diet and exercise, and a healthy mental attitude. Dr. Chris’ mission is to educate, empower and inspire as many people as possible to achieve their optimal health. He speaks regularly to local schools, business, and organization on health, wellness and safety topics.

Dr. Chris first discovered chiropractic after receiving a spinal injury in a college wrestling match. He was in such pain and agony he was unable to dress himself. The coach of his wrestling team suggested he visit a chiropractor after all other methods of treatment failed. He received his first chiropractic adjustment and two days later he was on the mat competing again. That spinal injury changed his life forever.
Dr. Chris went to chiropractic school intending to focus on sports injuries. Over the last few years his vision has evolved from wanting to “patch up” injuries to having a personal mission to transform people’s lives by teaching them how to live a chiropractic and wellness lifestyle. He has committed his life to becoming a master chiropractor and wellness expert. Every day he strives to improve his expertise in the field of spinal correction and wellness so that he is able to empower his patients to make the best decisions they are able to for themselves and for their families.
When he’s not adjusting patients or teaching workshops in the community, Dr. Chris can be found relaxing and expanding his mind reading a great book or pushing his body’s limits with sports and exercise. He grew up in a small town in north eastern Nebraska and moved to Fort Collins in order to become more involved in outdoor recreational activities. He has found Fort Collins to be the best town in which to live and to grow his practice in.

Prior to attending chiropractic school Dr. Chris was a student-athlete at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, IA lettering four years and competed in the NCAA National Wrestling Championships. Dr. Chris received his Bachelor’s of Science majoring in Biology and Exercise Science. Dr. Chris is a VFW serving a 19 month tour in Iraq with the Army Reserves between undergraduate school and chiropractic school. Dr. Chris received his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN in 2008. While in chiropractic school Dr. Chris began working towards becoming a certified chiropractic wellness practitioner by studying under Dr. James Chestnut M.Sc., D.C., C.C.W.P., one of the world foremost leading experts in wellness.  In fall of 2008 Dr. Chris passed his final exam and became Colorado’s first Certified Chiropractic Wellness Practitioner.
